WooCommerce B2B: implementation scope and cost
A B2B store should reflect your trading rules. Before ordering WooCommerce B2B development, describe price lists, offer access, order approval and warehouse data exchange. Those rules define the project scope.
Separate price from permission to buy
Price visibility, basket access and payment terms are separate decisions. A company may browse without logging in, receive a specific price list after account approval and place orders requiring salesperson confirmation. One “wholesaler” label does not describe all these states.
An example for the brief
Customer A buys full packs; customer B buys individual units with a different discount. Decide whether discounts combine with promotions, which price applies after a quantity change and what happens when trading terms expire. This is an analytical example, not a WebHeaven client implementation.
Requirements before pricing
- Who approves accounts and grants permissions?
- Does a price list belong to a company, user or group?
- Are there quantity, value or pack-multiple minimums?
- Is an order binding or an enquiry?
- Which system is the source of prices and availability?
- How are orders corrected and purchases repeated?
What should be tested?
Check purchasing as a guest, a new account, an approved customer and an account with revoked access. Verify prices in the basket, messages and order export too. Visually hiding a product price does not prove that access to the data is properly restricted.
What determines B2B cost?
Individual price lists, ERP integration, multiple users per company and order approval introduce the most decisions. Separate catalog development from trading rules, licences and connection maintenance. Compare a ready-made extension with custom work using actual scenarios.
Does every wholesale store need ERP integration?
No. It depends on scale and where prices and stock are maintained. Manual copying has labour costs and discrepancy risks, but integration still needs pricing based on the available interface.
